Thank you for your interest in participating in the development of CAP guidelines through the Pathology and Laboratory Quality Center for Evidence-based Guidelines (the Center). All survey questions are optional. Please note that this application is only for the purposes of serving on Center guideline panels and not CAP Committees.

Eligibility
Guideline panels consist of CAP members (pathologists) as well as clinicians, technicians/technologists, and patient advocates as needed.

Selection Process
Typically, 10-12 members serve on the expert panel and six serve on the advisory panel. Wherever possible, the panels consist of members from various demographic backgrounds, practice settings, and degrees of subject matter expertise (basic/general knowledge to subject matter experts). All panel members are appointed in accordance with Center policy. When CAP partners with another organization in developing a guideline, each organization typically has an equal number of representatives.

Time Commitment for Expert Panel: ~65 hours over 18-24 months
Time Commitment for Advisory Panel: ~15 hours over 18-24 months

Notification
The Center will contact you via email if we require additional information or to inform you that you have been selected as a candidate for a guideline panel.
